Blue Spring Oolong, Lou's Leaves (ounce)
This most unusual tea is grown in Anshi, Fujian province, on hilltops in a landscape of winding mountain streams, gentle breezes and ideal humidity at elevations of 3000 feet. Spring leaves are plucked, partially oxidized and then hand rolled as a traditional oolong. Next, the elegant pearls are coated with sweet licorice and take on the look of sandy green-gray pebbles. Blue Spring Oolong, also called Lady Orchid, produces an amber infusion with a sweet aroma and a particular herbaceous flavor. The finish is quite complex. After drinking, a small inhale through the mouth reveals the truly spectacular characteristics of this lovely brew.
